General Information
The IELTS test is available in two formats: Academic and General Training.
The General Training module emphasizes basic survival skills in a broad social and educational context. This format is suitable for candidates going to English-speaking countries to complete secondary education, for work, or for candidates emigrating to Australia, Canada, or New Zealand.
All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking tests. The Reading and Writing tasks differ between Academic and General Training formats.
IELTS Exam Structure
The IELTS test consists of 4 sections and lasts 2 hours 45 minutes:
- Reading and Use of English (reading and language practice) – 60 minutes
- Writing (writing) – 60 minutes
- Listening (listening) – 30 minutes
- Speaking (speaking) – 11–14 minutes
Scores
On the IELTS exam you can score up to 9.0 points, this is not a pass-fail exam.
The score obtained on IELTS can also replace the English language exam as part of the Bachelor's degree exam. Depending on the study profile in lyceum and the number of English hours per week, the following scores may be required:
